I would like to improve on my vocabulary. AWL can help me with those important academic words, and I would also like to enlarge my word bank from other language origins, like English words of French origin or English of Latin origin,etc.

Time magazine can help me catch the wave and Lit2go provides a myriad of novels to read.

Connection: follow a person, club, program, etc and write down your opinions

On Facebook, I followed 財團法人語言訓練測驗中心 (LTTC).

It regularly updates some new words and expressions on its fan page so it's quite helpful for enlarging your vocabulary.

Personal Experience

I listen to Podcast on my smartphone. Basically, I subscribe CNN student news, TED, Time,etc. It is updated everyday and you don't need to download too many apps. You can just subscribe and listen to it. I think Podcast is an app already built in iPhone.

This is the snapshot of  BBC 6 Minute English "The commute".
I think it is really great to learn some new expressions about commuting.(Each video involves a different topic.) And the 6-minute conversation between two person is fun and easy to learn!
It is not that long so it won't be a burden and you can stick to it everyday!

This is Words in the News "Record-breaking royal".

I think it helps you increase your vocabulary and you can get to know what are the authentic expressions in British English.
